My Dream
My Dream Holiday My dream holiday doesnââ¬â¢t involve only one place but the whole world, because it is to tour the worldââ¬â¢s most astonishing places. Firstly thereââ¬â¢s Manhattan. New York. As one of the most popular tourist destinations and heavily populated places anywhere in the world, Manhattan offers something for everyone, including vast amounts beauty, irrelevant of what you consider to be beautiful. From the lush greenery and openness of Central Park to the awe-inspiring and breathtaking view from the top of the Rockefeller Centre to the iconic Statue of Liberty, it would be difficult for anyone to visit Manhattan and not find part of it stunning. It was not until the voyage of Henry Hudson, an Englishman who worked for the Dutch East India Company, that the area was mapped. Hudson came across Manhattan Island and the native people living there in 1609, and continued up the river that would later bear his name, the Hudson River, until he arrived at the site of pre sent day Albany.Secondly thereââ¬â¢s Ireland Thereââ¬â¢s one town in particularly which is a ââ¬Å"mustâ⬠. This town is called Killarney. It is located in the province ââ¬Å"Munsterâ⬠in Country Kerry. Its population was last taken in 2006 and found to be 16931 people. Killarney has featured prominently in early Irish history, with religious settlements playing an important part of its recorded history. Its first significantly historical settlement was the monastery on nearby Innis fallen Island found in 640ad by St. Finian the Leper, which was occupied for approximately 850 years.Thirdly thereââ¬â¢s Meteora, Greece. The word ââ¬Å"meteoraâ⬠means ââ¬Å"Suspended rocksâ⬠. The area of Meteora on the Greek mainland is a collection of six monasteries that were constructed on limestone rocks many centuries ago. The six monasteries includes ââ¬Å"The Holy Monastery of Great Meteoron, Varlaam, Rousanou, St. Nicholas Anapausas, St. Stephen and The Monaster y of the Holy Trinity. Their beautiful to look at both up close and from afar, each of the six Eastern Orthodox monasteries are still inhabited to this day. Then thereââ¬â¢s the wondrous Creation located in Australia. The Great Barrier Reef. It is officially the largest reef system on earth. The Great Barrier Reef has almost 3,000 reefs encompassed within the 2,600 kilometer area of land that it covers. Although the Great Barrier Reef is clearly visible from space, it is when looking at it from underneath water when it truly appears to be beautiful and somewhat magical. Over 1,500 types of fish call the Great Barrier Reef home and in excess of 400 types of coral can be viewed in the area. Next on my list comes the extraordinary city, Venice. This is one of the most popular cities in Italy. Venice is known primarily for its canals, which provide both romantic and commuter travel within the city. There are, however, many other reasons why a visit to Venice is a must, notably some ama zing feats of architecture. It seems as if every step you take, you will encounter some aspect of the city worth admiring. The major sights like the basilica and piazza of San Marco are perhaps the cityââ¬â¢s most famous. There is however much more, but there's always next time for the rest.

Dreams Aspirations and Goals Essay
I just want to start off by saying that I am truly blessed to be able to have the opportunity that so many donââ¬â¢t have: getting an education. I dreamed I would always be able to learn to be able to do a little of everything no matter what it was: either it was learning culinary, mechanics, science, mathematics, history, etc. Iââ¬â¢ve just wanted to be that one person who knows a little of everything; no matter what the skill was I could do it. It may sound impossible but ââ¬Å"nothings impossible.â⬠As I enter the college life, this is where I will be determining my dream and where I truly will belong for the rest of my life it may take a while but thatââ¬â¢s what college is for to really test the waters and become comfortable with the one that occupation that really fits me well. I think what I really want to achieve in college is to be a role model; to be the role model that I want to be responsible by being able to balance my school, work, and social life, but mo st importantly I want to be able to make my family proud and support them like they did for me. I think my biggest dream was to become someone who can aspire and motivate people with their creativity or to just be a role model ââ¬â hopefully that this experience in college will truly help me accomplish that. I know that knowledge is key to pretty much everything we have to know ââ¬â practically every and anything about whatever occupation we want to have. But whatââ¬â¢s wrong with using our creative side ââ¬â isnââ¬â¢t it fun too just maybe once show up to class and have to draw for an assignment but no one says it has to be perfect no one expects you to be Picasso. We are being required to draw and use our creative side express our artistic side whether it be through words, drawing just to be able to just your true potential with creativity. In my experience of high school I had an amazing literature teacher who would sometimes just be fun and creative and just have us draw for one of our journals but it wasnââ¬â¢t stupid it was creative. Being creative is one of my biggest passions in life. I hope that I can truly show people there is nothing wrong with being creative. Responsible the one thing some people are afraid to be. When you hear the words independent it descri bes everything about being responsible. Itââ¬â¢s when you start to do things on your own ââ¬â a simple definition. In depth you have your own apartment maybe, pay your own car, bills, and you have a stable good paying job. It shows true responsibility when you can balance your school, work, and social life because youââ¬â¢ve shown how mature andà independent you can be ââ¬â there is nothing more accomplishing to prove that you pushed yourself through all those nights of tears and sweat to finish that assignment. High School was a sort of breaking point for me with AP literature to give me a taste of the college life ââ¬â all the nights I stood up to complete my papers. I can tell you this it was honestly worth it even though it stressed me out as I stared hours at a blank page at how to start my paper but then once you get going it all just flows out. One thing I know is that all that dedication of my time and effort will help me to be coming successful in my future. I wouldnââ¬â¢t be able to have done it without the support of my family and friends. So my goal in college is to graduate and figure out what I want to be. When I do graduate I want to be able to support and be there for everyone who did the same for me. Most of all I want to spoil my parents and spoil and treasure then like they did to me and my siblings. I honestly couldnââ¬â¢t have done it without their words of wisdom, kindness and experiences that showed me this opportunity I have to take advantage of so on behalf of my parents, family and friends my journey to success is my gift to you and may I make you prouder than you are when you saw me with my first cap and gown.

Biology and Ecosystems Education Admission/Application Essay
Biology and Ecosystems Education The paper "Biology and Ecosystems Education" is an outstanding example of an application/admission essay on English. The environment in which we live, the uniqueness of different creatures across diverse ecosystems, as well as, how a man gets along with them has been a question that has always fascinated me. The way in which the environment and ecosystem relate to the future of humankind has always been an intriguing subject for me. When I joined a junior school that was my first experience with nature and interaction with human life. It was here that I noticed I had an affinity for the environment and animals. Nothing excites me more than seeing plants and animals behaving the same way as I have learned in the classroom. Immediately, I get the urge to share what I know and observe with people around me, feeling that they need to realize and appreciate the wonders of nature around us. I usually feel in these situations that man has forgotten the wonders of nature in his pursuit for p rofit and wealth.Understanding the environment and ecosystems has aroused curiosity in me and taught me to view the world from a new point of view. This passion has propelled me to chose NYU and focus on biology. It is my belief that this will be the best institution to conduct experiments in biology, as well as to learn how to conduct research with regards to the ecosystem. In high school, I built up my knowledge of different ecosystems through my work with the wildlife club and cleaning up beach land. Three years of high school have firmed up my determination to pursue biology, and it is my belief that NYU is the best institution to do this. With the advanced opportunities of research and the working partnerships between NYU and other universities around the world, I believe that I can improve my knowledge in biology and ecosystems greatly. Thank you.
The Role of the Egyptian Religion Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 500 words
The Role of the Egyptian Religion - Essay Example The New Kingdom is the time period between roughly the sixteenth century BC and eleventh century BC in ancient Egyptian history. It could be described as the ancient civilizationââ¬â¢s most affluent period with the most power it ever enjoyed. The main stalwart of Egyptââ¬â¢s power during this time, taking the civilization to a new height was Ramesses the Great. His campaigns into the Levant, to recover the once lost lands brought him great splendor as a king. Particularly of remembrance was his great military victory at the battle of Kadesh. The Egyptian religion played a strong roll in the lives of the people. The gods, who were believed to be manifested in their cult images, were taken care of by the priests. Offerings were made to them regularly to bring their blessings upon the people. There was a sense of hierarchy about the gods as well with Isis enjoying a higher position than the local gods like Tawaret. The primary difference in this came from the institutional gods be ing there to help in concerns of kingship whereas the local gods were prominent among the locals of Egyptian towns. There was a kind of ascendency involved with the higher state gods starting out as local deities but climbing slowly to a higher level as more temples were built in their name and opportunities for their worship increased.

Iron Jawed Angeles- Movie analysis - Essay Example They were not given the rights to vote because the society on the whole though they cannot choose candidates rationally. They simply lacked the understanding necessary to comprehend the complexities of politics. Alice Paul approaches Ben purely to further her agenda. Ben fancies her the moment they have their first conversation. It would have been compromising for Alice to get political and PR favors from him and secretly harbor a romance story. She was only interested in business and not pleasure even if she wanted to. Had she gotten romantically involved with Ben it would have hindered her efforts promoting the full voting rights for women. The way how the movie progresses showing Ban asking for dinner/lunch frequently shows that it is Ben who initiates the romance fling. Alice agrees to eat with him only after he had given her something in return. The other reason is Alice thinks if she would get romantically involved with Ben it will prevent her from reaching her goals. Somehow she will get distracted from her mission. During the scene when Ben is teaching her how to dance, he tries to kiss her. Even though she wanted to kiss him but somehow she turns her head away. Despite the fact that she fantasizes about him while taking a bath. The movie immediately shows a police officer listening to this threat. However, he does not react at all to such threatening insults. Even after one person throws a bottle at women, there is no reaction from the police authority. Thomas Leighton, the senator for the democrats sees the paper one morning and reads to his wife that her name is among the notable contributors to the National Womenââ¬â¢s Party (NWP). Upon learning that the NWP is urging women voters not to vote for the Democrats, he takes away the monthly funds from his wifeââ¬â¢s account. During the confrontational debate between Inez Milholland and Woodrow Wilson, the president is clearly preventing the

At the same time the economic health of a country instantly affects the companies working within it. The enterprises within a nation and the nationââ¬â¢s economy are two inseparable entities; one affects the other. Any economic downfall thus results in the poor health of the enterprises. And if the affected economy is the largest and in the world, the ill effects of the economic downturn is dissipated throughout the countries of the world. History has witnessed on such severe economic downfall in 1929, named Great Depression. The present economic recession, termed as the Credit Crunch of 2009 is and perhaps will be more striking. Globalization has led to integration of companies all over the world. Organisations have taken a cue from the Global Commodity Chain model and went overseas, often to enjoy comparative advantages of cost. These moves have boomeranged now.
